What does top volume mean on Arbitrum?

This list ranks Arbitrum tokens by how much was traded in the last 24 hours, using GeckoTerminal's pools sorted by volume. Volume is the plainest measure of where money is actually moving, which is why the network's own coin and the largest wrapped assets usually sit near the top.

Arbitrum is an Ethereum layer-2 with low fees and a long-established DeFi scene of lending, derivatives and yield protocols, so protocol tokens often sit alongside newer launches in its lists.

How this list is ranked and filtered

Volume is also the easiest number to fake, so it gets the strictest treatment. Raw pool rankings on EVM networks are dominated by wash trading: bots cycling the same money through a thin pool to manufacture volume. So a pool must hold at least $1 million of liquidity and trade no more than 25 times that in 24 hours. Stablecoin pairs are dropped, and a token that appears in several pools is shown once, at its highest-ranked pool. Price and changes are that pool's own, so they can differ slightly from an exchange's quote.

How to use it safely

High volume means a token is easy to trade today, not that it is a good one. It does mean the liquidity column is usually deep enough that an ordinary swap will not move the price much, which makes this the least risky of our lists to trade from.

Before you swap anything from this list, check the contract address against the project's own site, compare the liquidity column with the size of your trade (a trade worth more than a few per cent of it will move the price against you), and never swap more than you can afford to lose.

Frequently asked questions

How is this Arbitrum volume ranking built?

From GeckoTerminal's pools sorted by 24-hour volume, keeping its order. We remove anything with less than $1 million of liquidity or volume above 25 times its liquidity, and we remove stablecoins.

Why is the volume lower than on other sites?

Sites that rank by raw volume count wash trading, which on EVM networks can be most of it. We drop any market whose volume is more than 25 times its liquidity, so what remains is closer to real trading.

How often does this list update?

The table in the page's HTML is a snapshot taken when the site was last built, and it is labelled with that time. When you open the page your browser asks GeckoTerminal for the current list once and the table switches to live.

Is the most traded token the best buy?

No. This list describes what is being traded, not what will go up. We do not make price predictions or recommend tokens, and a place on this page is not an endorsement. Check the contract address, compare the liquidity with the size of your trade, and never swap more than you can afford to lose.
