What SPX is

SPX6900 is a memecoin on Ethereum whose joke is that it is bigger and better than the S&P 500, the US stock index; the 6900 is part of the gag. It has built a devoted online following that treats holding it as something between a meme and a movement.

There is no product and no cash flow behind it. It trades on attention and the mood of the memecoin market, and its deepest market is a Uniswap pool against WETH.

It has no connection to the S&P 500 index or to the company that publishes it, and holding it gives no exposure to US shares.
