Binance BitcoinBTCB price and how to buy on BNB Chain
BNB ChainBitcoin on BNB Chain, issued by Binance and backed one-to-one.
What BTCB is
BTCB, Binance Bitcoin, is a token on BNB Chain pegged to bitcoin. Binance issues it and holds bitcoin in reserve against it, so one BTCB is meant to be exchangeable for one BTC through Binance. It tracks the bitcoin price closely because any gap is quickly traded away.
It exists so bitcoin can be used on BNB Chain — swapped, lent or posted as collateral — without leaving the network, and it is one of the deepest markets on the chain, traded mostly against WBNB and USDT.
Its price is bitcoin's price, moved by everything that moves bitcoin. What BTCB adds is a dependency on Binance: the peg holds only while Binance keeps the reserve and honours redemptions, which is not a question bitcoin in your own wallet ever has to answer.

Market cap and supply are left out: the BTCB contract on BNB Chain holds only the part of the supply that has been brought to this network, so its figures would describe that part rather than BTCB as a whole.
