What PENDLE is

PENDLE is the token of Pendle, a protocol that splits a yield-bearing asset into two parts: a principal token that redeems for the underlying asset at a fixed date, and a yield token that collects everything the asset earns until then. Trading the two separately lets people lock in a fixed rate or bet on a rate rising.

PENDLE is the protocol's governance and incentive token: holders have been able to lock it to vote on which pools receive rewards and to share in the protocol's income, under rules that Pendle has revised over time. Arbitrum is one of Pendle's largest networks; the token on this page is bridged from the Ethereum original.

Its price moves with how much is deposited in Pendle, which in turn follows demand for yield across DeFi.

Buying PENDLE, step by step

  1. 1

    Connect an EVM wallet

Open the swap panel and connect MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet or any browser wallet that supports Arbitrum. On a phone, the same wallets open through their own apps. Privacc only reads your public address — it cannot move your funds.

  2. 2

Hold some ETH on Arbitrum for gas

Every Arbitrum transaction is paid for in ETH, whatever token you are swapping, so a wallet with no ETH cannot buy PENDLE. The panel opens on Arbitrum; if your wallet is set to another network it will ask to switch.

  3. 3

    Check the token is PENDLE

The panel is already set to PENDLE at the contract address on this page, so there is nothing to search for. If you pick it by hand, compare the address rather than the name — copies with the same symbol exist.

  4. 4

    Approve, then swap

If you pay with a token rather than ETH, your wallet first asks you to approve the router to spend it. That is a separate transaction with its own gas fee, needed once per token. Then check the quote — the PENDLE you receive, the price impact and the fees — and sign the swap.

  5. 5

    Find it in your wallet

The Pendle (Arbitrum) arrives in the wallet you signed from once the transaction confirms. If your wallet does not list it, add it as a custom token using the contract address on this page.

Token names and symbols on Arbitrum are not unique — anyone can deploy a contract called PENDLE. The address is the only thing that identifies the real one. Check it, never the name:

Common mistakes

  1. PENDLE on Arbitrum and PENDLE on Ethereum are separate contracts. Sending one to an address that expects the other can lose it.

  2. Buying PENDLE is not using Pendle. Fixed rates and yield trading happen through its principal and yield tokens, which are separate and behave very differently.

  3. Yield tokens lose all their value at maturity by design. Anyone moving on from PENDLE into Pendle's products should understand that before buying one.

PENDLE questions

What does Pendle do?

It splits yield-bearing assets into a principal part and a yield part and runs markets for both, so users can fix a rate, trade expectations about rates, or provide liquidity.

What moves PENDLE's price?

Mostly how much is deposited in Pendle, which follows demand for yield across DeFi, and the market as a whole. When yields are in demand, so is Pendle.

Is this the same PENDLE as on Ethereum?

Same price, different contract. It is a bridged copy on Arbitrum.

Where can I buy PENDLE on Arbitrum?

On this page. Connect an EVM wallet with some ETH for gas, enter an amount and sign. The PENDLE goes straight to your wallet without passing through Privacc.

Do I need an account to buy PENDLE?

No. Privacc has no accounts and no sign-up because it never takes custody of your funds. You connect a wallet, sign a transaction, and the tokens go straight to you.

What does it cost to buy PENDLE on Arbitrum?

The Arbitrum network fee, paid in ETH; a one-off approval fee the first time you sell a given token; the price impact of the route; and any service fee. All of it is in the quote you see before you sign.

Market cap and supply are left out: the PENDLE contract on Arbitrum holds only the part of the supply that has been brought to this network, so its figures would describe that part rather than PENDLE as a whole.
