Swap USD Coin (USDC) to Raydium (RAY)

Buying RAY with USDC turns a fixed number of dollars into a position that rises and falls with RAY. Raydium is a protocol token: its price reflects what the market expects of the protocol, which is not the same as owning a share of it. RAY in one line: One of Solana's largest automated market makers.

How to swap USDC to RAY

  1. 1

    Connect a wallet holding USDC

Connect Phantom, Solflare or Backpack in the swap panel; the wallet also needs a little SOL for the network fee, even though you are paying in USDC.

  2. 2

Confirm it is the real RAY

The panel is set to swap USDC into the verified RAY mint, 4k3D…kX6R; a token with the same name at any other address is not RAY, whatever its logo.

  3. 3

    Size the USDC side

Enter the USDC amount and read the quote: it shows how much RAY you receive and the price impact of the route before anything is committed.

  4. 4

    Sign, and receive RAY

Approve the USDC swap and the RAY lands in the same wallet in about a second, with no deposit address and nothing to withdraw.

How deep the USDC/RAY market is

The figure above is the mid-market rate. What you receive depends on the size of your order: a swap large relative to the pool moves the price as it executes, which is the price impact shown in the quote. Jupiter reduces this by splitting an order across several venues, but it never disappears.

Beyond price impact, a USDC-to-RAY swap costs the Solana network fee and the Privacc fee, both already inside the quote. Full fee breakdown

What moves the USDC/RAY rate

Against USDC, this rate is the dollar price of RAY turned upside down: the more RAY costs, the less of it each USDC buys.

For a protocol token, what moves it is usage, governance decisions and scheduled token unlocks.

Which network is your USDC on?

USDC exists on several networks: Ethereum (ERC-20), Tron (TRC-20), BNB Chain (BEP-20), Arbitrum, Base and Solana. They are separate tokens that share a name, and a Solana wallet can only hold the Solana one. This page is the Solana pair.

If your USDC is on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base or Polygon, you do not need an exchange to bring it over: choose that network above the swap panel, set Solana as the destination, and LI.FI bridges and swaps it in one route. Tron is the exception. TRC-20 USDC is not supported here and has to come through an exchange.

USDC to RAY questions

How much RAY do I get for 1 USDC?

The swap panel quotes the live rate as soon as you enter an amount of USDC. The RAY you receive reflects the price impact of your order size and the fee, both shown before you sign.

Does it matter whether I pay for RAY with USDC or SOL?

The RAY price is set by the pools at the moment you ask, not by which token you pay with. The real difference is what you give up: paying in USDC spends dollars that were holding still, while paying in SOL gives up an asset that moves.

Do I need SOL to swap USDC to RAY?

Yes, a small amount for the network fee, even though neither USDC nor RAY is SOL.
